"I just had an 87 year old man tell me to fuck off..." "guys, this chat was designed so we can share resources, not bash customers..." "I'm not bashing them, I just think a certain older gentleman should go crawl in a hole and die" "Alex!"
Just another day at work... Now time for Xbox 360 on the new TV... |

Ok sit down, shut the fuck up, and pay attention. Im going to tell you all a story. This story takes place on a bus driving down a highway. You are coming home from work one day on the same bus you take every day, back and forth. However, you notice today that the bus is behaving a little oddly, the driver seems to be having a little trouble steering and getting it to stop. You mention this to the other passengers but they dont care, it seems like the bus is doing just fine and hte driver is handling it, its probably just the road. After a little while the bus driver admits that theres some major problems with the bus. He radios the bus manufacturer and says that it feels like the brakes are shot and need to be replaced. The manufacturer responds by saying that replacing the brakes will cost a lot of money and upset the passengers. Besides, this is a problem for the owners of the bus to figure out, not the builders. As the driver continues his route, its getting obvious that something is very wrong. Another person radios the bus and the manufacturers and tells them "look, I know everything there is to know about buses and have basically invented the modern bus system. Stop right now and fix those brakes, no matter the cost. There is a bridge out in a mile or so and you will crash if you dont fix the problem now!" Now of course this angers the bus manufacturers, how dare anyone tell us what to do and the owners of the bus should just sort it out themselves, even though the owners let the bus get to this position in the first place. The passengers are complaining too, "if the brakes are replaced it will cost me more money to ride! Thats not fair!" "I changed the oil on my car once, I know just as much about bus brakes as that guy on the radio, so do what I say instead!" "Let it crash, it will teach hte bus company to take better care of their buses!" "Oh stop panicing, the bus is big, its robably bigger than the gap in the bridge, we will be fine" "Im wearing a seatbelt, falling off a bridge wont hurt me" "Im sitting in the back of the bus, I cant even see the bridge, how do we know its there?" "Im calling the manufacturers and telling them if they help the bus at all im going to make sure they lose their jobs!" The manufacturers of the bus are now arguing to about whether they should even send the bus company a new set of brakes, let alone help them install them.
In the end the manufacturers decide to not help the bus come to a safe stop, caving to the pressure of the bus riders who dont think they are in any danger of crashing. In the end, there is a catastrophic wreck, and the few survivors of the crash are left demanding to know why the bus manufacturer did nothing to prevent the crash.
I hope you all understand what my story is about, and understand why we are all in so much trouble right now |

"Alexander may be so self-confident that others see him as arrogant. This confidence may be something others wish they had. He will work hard at achieving his goals. He loves to win and hates to lose. He may lose interest in a project once the challenge ceases. He may then be ready for another challenging project. He prefers being a team player, and wants each player to contribute along with him. Alexander can be successful at many things, not because of versatility but rather because of his determination to win. He is a goal-oriented individual who believes in harnessing people to help him achieve his goals. He needs people with other strengths on his team. Most people see him as a high risk-taker. His view is, "nothing ventured, nothing gained." He embraces visions not always seen by others. Alexander's creative mind allows him to see the "big picture." Some may view him as being stubborn and opinionated. He views it as the price you must pay for success. He may try to "explain" his stubbornness in positive terms. He wants to be viewed as self-reliant and willing to pay the price for success.
Alexander should realize that at times he needs to think a project through, beginning to end, before starting the project. He is decisive and prefers to work for a decisive manager. He can experience stress if his manager does not possess similar traits. He finds it easy to share his opinions on solving work-related problems. Sometimes he becomes emotionally involved in the decision-making process. Alexander prefers authority equal to his responsibility. Logic and people who have the facts and data to support this logic influence him. He admires the patience required to gather facts and data. He has the unique ability of tackling tough problems and following them through to a satisfactory conclusion. When faced with a tough decision, he will try to sell you on his ideas.
Alexander has the ability to ask the right questions and destroy a shallow idea. Some people may feel these questions are a personal attack upon their integrity; however, this is just his way of getting the appropriate facts. He may sometimes mask his feelings in friendly terms. If pressured, Alexander's true feelings may emerge. He likes people who present their case effectively. When they do, he can then make a quicker assessment or decision. He may lose interest in what others are saying if they ramble or don't speak to the point. His active mind is already moving ahead. Alexander likes people who give him options as compared to their opinions. The options may help him make decisions, and he values his own opinion over that of others! He is influenced by people who communicate with a logical presentation of the facts, impressed by the apparent efficiency involved. He tends to influence people by being direct, friendly and results-oriented. He challenges people who volunteer their opinions"

Wow, before spring break I had no problem with doing work or anything. But now that I realize that there is only 50 some odd days left before graduation I just can not keep my head in the game. All I want to do is go to the gym, read my (not school related) books, and hang out. Not work on papers, thesis, or pay attention in class. But I need to do work, and figure out what I'm going to do for work when I get out, and a whole host of other things. And according to one of my friends, I'm by far the most sexually frustrated person shes ever seen. Thanks Marcy, you're really helping :p Damnitall |

Fan fucking tastic. I spent... 3.5 hours in the emergency room because the doc that my school sends us to is an idiot. I called her and said "I have an ear infection and a swollen lymph node, can I make an appointment?" Apparently her office isn't prepared to handle such a crisis so she told me to go to the Beverly Hospital emergency room. Where I sat. And sat. And sat. And watched some show on the earth. And sat. And made fun of other Endicott students with the intern who was working there. And sat. And got annoyed at the 500 ill behaving mexican children. And their 1 mother. And her 30,000 family members. And sat. Then after two hours I was finally put into an examination room. Where I fell asleep on the table because it took the doc another hour to actually come in and confirm what I already knew, and write out a few proscriptions. Which I can't get until tomorrow because by the time I got out all the pharmacies were closed. So my head is killing me. |
